Green Living
May 2026
Green living is more than just a trend — it’s a lifestyle!
Bringing the outside in has always brought natural life into homes. Nature inspired is the centre of todays design for designers, homeowners and businesses.
Elements of nature in design improve well-being and awaken a sense of responsibility toward the environment. Embracing the trend could be as easy as keeping windows bare to delight in the view and include pot plants in your interiors or patio areas.
At Just Add Plants we have watched the colour trends favour warmer, softer earthy tones in Australian interior design, so we have added terracotta tan, cream, olive green and light grey finishes to our small fibreglass mini planter ranges.
In the past decade we have seen the re-emergence of the 1950s Nordic Scandinavian inspired interior design blended with American 1930s – 1965s Mid-Century Modern and modern contemporary feels. Trends are still echoing that minimalism but now adding warm tones, timber flooring and textured wall features, open areas with lots of windows and soft rounded furnishings.
This is where our colour planters can add a pop of colour and greenery to personalise and enrich living spaces. These low maintenance, hardwearing pots are especially popular in commercial spaces to add greenery around office spaces
