Our story
Here at Just Add Plants, we are passionate about designing plant containers to suit Australian spaces, both indoors and out. We carefully design our lifestyle planters with their purpose in mind. Each planter creation travels the Just Add Plants journey from design, through rigorous product testing to manufacture, and ultimately into the arms of our passionate clients. Our job is to help you find the right lifestyle planter for your space. That’s our promise!
From humble beginnings in 2008, Just Add Plants was born with an innovative modular and fibreglass planter range, predominately servicing the indoor plant hire industry throughout Australia. Warehousing and distributing from a small shed located in Brisbane’s North, the business continued to grow, building relationships with clients along the way and establishing itself as a trusted, reliable brand in the plant container supply sector.
As like then, we importantly continue to offer real choice in the marketplace, and assist our customers with all their plant container needs and ensure they have a total understanding of their unique features and how they work. Our lifestyle planters, each beautifully handcrafted, are not only a work of art, but functionally advanced, with the ability to be fully self-watering where required
After refining and expanding the existing planter range the business relocated to a larger warehouse facility in Brendale, North Brisbane which enabled improved stock holding capacity and more ease of distribution. Growth continued, as new client relationships were forged and new inclusions into the plant container range were added, including the versatile and innovative Versi-Wall green wall system, ideally suited to both exterior and interior use.
In 2018 we initiated the beginning of a bold new direction for the business, by broadening our base and integrating 100% more planters to our overall range, in turn offering more variety and choice to new industries and sectors in the market. After researching the marketplace and liaising with our clients, we meticulously designed, quality tested and approved production of a number of new lifestyle planter collections with our reliable manufacturers throughout Asia.
The new business direction also required the relocation to larger warehouse facilities. Based in Geebung, Brisbane, our Just Add Plants head quarters covers over 800 square metres and is centrally positioned to main road infrastructure and transport hubs.
Our full range of lifestyle planters now encapsulates a diverse selection of contemporary edge exterior and interior planters, colourful mini-planters, elegant hanging planters and charming timber plant stands, all with their own distinctive textures and finishes.
With a number of exciting new release planters still to arrive, the abundance of lifestyle planters is truly amazing. Our full suite of products, including our modular Green Wall system and extent of related accessories now has Just Add Plants positioned for continued growth throughout the new decade, and offering our clients a world of choice in the home, retail and commercial markets.
